Vintage-y goodness

I *love* vintage fabric. I love the look of it, the feel of it, and yes, as weird as it sounds, the smell of it. I think I love it so much because it combines two of my most favorite things: Retro and fabric. So, without further ado, I give you my fave finds for your viewing pleasure.

Whenever I do acquire some of this vintage goodness, I tend to become very miserly and phobic about it. What if I use it to make something and it doesn’t turn out? The horror! So, I have to say that I’m quite proud of myself when I do use a piece to create something of use, instead of hoarding it and letting it get dusty on my shelves.

I hope you feel inspired to explore vintage fabric. So many gorgeous choices, so many possibilities. I’ve bought several pieces through Etsy as well as my local thrift stores and best of all, garage sales. And don’t be afraid to experiment and actually use your ‘new’ fabric. Be daring and create! After all, isn’t that what life is about?
